Significant Projects & Awards

How might we change private concepts and communally-share values? How might we show this change happening? My understanding of this change is perceiving the dialectics of disorder and order and the processes of its perception, apprehension, analysis, and cognition.

Of course what immediately comes to mind reading the above questions: isn’t this what learning is? Perhaps, but what I pay attention to as I read and engage with the origins and ethos of Western Philosophy is the figure and ground dialectic.

I am specifically interested in showing knowledge-in-action. As an artist/curator/design educator, I continually seek to exemplify what knowledge-in-action looks like. This is where my reading, thinking, and writing practice hybridizes into diagrammatic form.

Curation Practice

  • My current role is Stevenson University Director of Exhibitions;

  • Programming committee member for the Society of Design Arts webinars;

  • 2013-2015 curator-in-residence at theGallery@ Case[werks];
